Next To My Bed: Shaniqwa Jarvis

Welcome to our latest installment of Next to My Bed, a feature on Hill House Home's 40 Winks Blog that takes an up close and personal look at what some of our friends keep next to their bed.

Shaniqwa Jarvis, Artist

Shaniqwa Jarvis a New York-based artist best known for her unique ability to capture modern fashion sensibility and raw emotion across a wide array of subjects. From campaigns for huge brands like Nike and Supreme, to portraits of Cardi B and SZA, Jarvis always captures an acute sensitivity and empathy. Her self titled book showcases a mix of memorable portraits and landscapes. “My images are an invitation to join me on a journey to see the world from my vantage point,” she told i-D magazine upon the release of her book. “One that is female, black, tirelessly hardworking and brimming with raucous, positive vibrations!” Here, a look at how she powers those positive vibrations at home.
