I absolutely love this dress. It is definitely bra friendly with the right bra. I absolutely LOVE Navy Emma Stripe print. The colors will be beautiful year round, and it is even more beautiful in person. I went with a Small in this dress, and I could have gone down to an XS as I usually do with the Scarlett. But, I am happy and comfortable in the Small. It does not have the same give as the Ellie (I go down to an XS in this dress). It can be dressed up or down, and the fabric is light enough to work in Summer as well. I usually wear a size 4-6 with a 32D bra size.

I love love love my Madeline Nap Dress! I have lately preferred dresses (Louisa, Matilda, Scarlett) with a bit of a sleeve so I could wear to business casual functions or get a little more year round wear out of them. Madeline is the best of both. It has the fully smocked bodice as with all the dresses with "nap" in the name, but the shape is a bit more streamlined without the ruffled bottom. It is said to be "bra-friendly," which I don't really find to be the case but I also have a larger bust so maybe that is just the types of bras I wear. I'll shop around for the right bra because this dress is worth it.

I also LOVE the Navy Emma Stripe print. It is less dainty and summery than some of the HH prints tend to be, so I truly plan to wear this dress through fall! The contrast stitching on the bodice is lovely and it is a beautiful, unique print.

The details in this dress are what makes it special. The contrast smocking darkens the top and creates drama. The pattern is beautiful and only gets more interesting up close.

The dress is so comfortable to wear and has a functional string in the neckline that gives you fit control. The skirt + pattern elongate everything. At 5’1 I need all the help I can get! The sizing felt very similar to the Scarlet and Louisa. I sized one down from street size.

This pairs well with sweaters and jackets. I can’t wait to grab my blazer and wear it to work meetings without much planning.
