I overthought the purchase of this robe for a long time, but for anyone on the fence, just go for it. I really thought I was a pajama person and that robes were strictly for dead-of-winter transitions from the shower to freezing cold closets to cozy pajamas. Friends, I was wrong.
This robe is everything I've ever wanted from a robe at a luxury hotel but with the immeasurable benefit of never having to leave my home or share that robe with past and future guests. I am writing this review from an actual hotel, where I am, for the first time in a month, separated from my Hill House robe, and I can tell you that the fancy robe in this fancy hotel doesn't come close, which ultimately prompted this review.
I went a little extra and added the monogram because I decided this was the energy I wanted to bring into 2024 with me (equal parts Eloise and Hotel Chevalier?), and now every potentially mundane moment - blearily shuffling out of bed to feed my dog, fighting with contact lenses, diving full force into two cups of coffee, unwinding with a glass of wine or mug of tea, brushing my teeth, you name it - just feels cozier and more elegant.
From a technical perspective, it's important to note that it's super plush against a chill and yet somehow also not stifling on warmer days.
